Philipp entertains a very international practice going back to the fact that he is qualified to practice in England & Wales, Germany and Luxembourg, thus commanding common as well as civil law experience. Based on his international expertise, Philipp has advised former government ministers of Luxembourg on European Competition Law matters and has been appointed Chargé de Cours Associé by the University of Luxembourg, where he teaches at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. Philipp is widely respected for his strong analytical skills combined with creative thinking.
Philipp’s pre Bar experience includes working for the German Embassy in London and the Banking, Finance and Investment Funds department of an international law firm in Luxembourg.
Philipp retains strong links with the German and Luxembourgish Bar and is a member in Simon & Simon, which provides him with a base to serve and meet his clients when acting abroad.
Philipp is happy to accept instructions in German and Luxembourgish.
Philipp specialises in Corporate and Commercial Litigation at domestic and international level. He furthermore acts for clients in respect of Banking, Finance and Investment Fund matters and has substantive know-how in advising and assisting with Investment Funds structures and set ups abroad. Philipp has recently acted on foreign Personal Injury, Succession law and Probate cases. Being probably the only fully dually qualified German Rechtsanwalt - English Barrister at the English Bar, Philipp addresses a wide range of issues, when it comes to cross border advice.
Time permitting, Philipp pursues his interest for the criminal law and always enjoys instructions for both, prosecution and defence cases.
